Good evening, everyone!
With the release 0.10.2, we are migrating to Debian Trixie.
Major Changes
Debian 13
- For existing systems, an upgrader was written. It will run automatically when system updates are enabled. To see how the upgrader will behave in your environment, have a look here: libre-workspace/src/usr/lib/libre-workspace/portal/unix/unix_scripts/general/upgrade_debian.sh at main · Jean28518/libre-workspace · GitHub
- The Nextcloud installation was updated to handle Debian 13 dependencies.
- The .iso was also migrated to a Trixie base.
- From now on, Debian 12 installations are going to be deprecated. You should upgrade to Debian 13, especially if you want to install some modules.
Other Changes
- “docker-compose” will now be deprecated. But thanks to the Debian 13 maintainers, we can use “docker compose” and “docker-compose” at the same time. However, for consistency in the future, we will focus on “docker compose”.
- PHP is now configured by a separate script. Also, some variables like the memory size and the pm.max_children are now configured to respect your hardware stats.
- IPv6-only environments are now fully supported. On our SaaS environment, the first instances are running flawlessly. However, e.g., Synapse (Matrix) does not support IPv6. More information can be found here: IPv6 only hosts — Libre Workspace documentation
- The installation from cloud images is now also generally supported. We will release more detailed instructions about this in the future.
- A Mailcow module will enter the Addon Center in a few weeks. Then you can also use Libre Workspace as a mail server.
Many more small changes were made with this release. For more information, have a look here: Comparing v0.10.0...v0.10.2 · Jean28518/libre-workspace · GitHub

The .iso file is currently still in testing and will be released in a few days.
Roadmap: What’s Coming Next?
Thanks to the generosity of our community sponsors, we have two massive features already in the pipeline for a future release:
- Multiple Backup Repositories: The ability to configure and send your backups to several different locations simultaneously.
